Until 31/01/2024, non-salaried insured individuals, freelancers, self-employed individuals, and farmers must electronically submit their application to enroll in the categories they choose for Primary and Supplementary Insurance, as well as for Lump Sum Benefit.
With the provisions of Law 4670/2020, a new contribution framework was established for the aforementioned categories, making their classification mandatory after the submission of an electronic application, with specific amounts per sector from 1/1/2020.
Specifically:
- The choice of insurance category is independent for each Insurance Sector.
- The selection right is exercised by both mandatory and optional insured individuals.
- The option to choose an insurance category is renewed annually.
- A new upper limit for contributions is set.
- Your classification into an insurance category is mandatory.
- Your choice will be activated upon the issuance of January 2024 contributions.
- In case of not submitting an application to change the insurance category, the classification from the previous year remains active.
- The deadline for submitting your application is until Wednesday, January 31, 2024
